We are looking to hire a full time Javascipt developer who can work in or is willing to pick up Titanium. The developer should be familiar with MVC and Backbone and demonstrate this knowledge early in the interview. Ability to work with maps and GPS for coordinating our service stops and pool service jobs would be excellent. Examples of jobs include regular maintenance but also fixes. We already have product market fit and we are a B2B company targeting pool service companies. We already have a full time product designer and we already have a technical management team. The app has been built over a few years and we are looking to take this potentially to other vertical markets. The backend, which you will not need to touch is in PHP and MySQL. There may be some classic code to revamp into Titanium's Alloy MVC framework. We also want to make the app faster and more reactive, though we would need to evaluate whether REST to Websockets/Streams is worth it or not. We also would like to support push notifications. We already have linters and devops and and such in place. The framework we are using on the mobile app is based on Javascript, so if you do not have an expert in TiDev, a strong mobile app Developer with a strong willingness to learn and excel in a new mobile framework will be required. The Developer will need access to a Mac computer and access to at least one Android and one iOS device. This feature also requires the use of the mobile devices database (Sqlite) mainly for offline support and with calls to our backend to grab the latest task items for the technician to complete on the mobile app. Very strong Javascript skills.
