Talent are compensated for their time, and the free trials are something LD Talent bears the cost of. This is under the condition that both talent and clients follow the platform rules, which include keeping all communication in the designated project channel in Slack.

It is important to use this opportunity to do quality work (and track time carefully) so that the client continues to fund more work for you. During free trial periods, providing an update to the client after every 2 hours of work or so is also important. During the first 5 hours of work especially, we recommend you stop working after 2 hours of tracking time to get feedback from the client to make sure you are on the right track.
