How do I inform client regarding time off, sick days, holidays, vacations, etc.?
Please inform your client ahead of time (2-7 days prior if possible, or as soon as is possible) if you will be unable to check in or work on weekdays for a particular period of time due to sickness, an emergency, vacation, holidays, time-off, or any other reason. This is so that your client is not left waiting for your response.
We are a company that respects work-life balance and will respect your time off, so please do inform us when you need time off. If you need to extend your time off, then you should send a note in Slack regarding that. Example: First, you message that you'll be off for 3 days for sickness, but if you're still not better, then you can message on the 3rd day, that you'll be off for another 2 days for sickness. This way the client is never wondering if you ghosted them.
